I was just talking about the elections with a friend this morning who reminded me to vote for a "Pro-life" President today....
I am voting for Pro-life, Pro- God &Church and Pro-environment, Pro-wildlife and Pro-Agriculture and Pro- family values and Pro-marriage.
For our household it's GOD, FARM AND FAMILY!
We are also voting for local candidates who have supported us with keeping our local Catholic churches open.
And we pray that Bishop Galante will choose Life too and not close down a…

Thanks to everyone who pitched in and helped out with the joint birthday party for Father and Leah! The turnout was overwhelming, and a lot of people pitched in to make the event fun for all.
Thanks also to all who helped celebrate. (So many people came that we couldn't fit everyone inside!) I think the turnout showed Father & Leah the magnitude of our appreciation for all of the time, sacrifice, and hard work that they've put into the effort to save St. Mary's and all of the churches in ou…

Do not think that just this Diocese is cloaked in financial secrecy.Even religion journalists are being kept more and more in the dark by the USNCCB.

let's all play the bishop's shell game , shall we? Let's distract the most important problem of Camden diocese church closings/mergers by addressing the upcoming political elections with teams of facilitators at various diocesan churches to " enlighten " us. Don't want to play? Either do I !!! Use the diocesan resources available to straighten this closing/merger mess out now , Bishop Galante. WE want answers to all the questions and arguments we have posed that you keep hiding under your shell…

My grandmothers grandmother donated the land for St Veronicas church, at the time. It has since become St Veronicas parish in Delair NJ, Camden Diocese. It to has been scheduled for extermination. Since the intended use for this donation was for a church on the property, does anyone know if there is something I may be able to do legally, to possibly force them to keep it open.

in light of all the turmoil surrounding the closings of half the Catholic churches in S.J., not only is an explanation of Bishop Galante's real estate dealings with an alleged fraudulent real estate businessman necessary, it is mandatory! Many Catholics of S.J., in fear and disgust over the possibility of their beloved churches closing, are still waiting for answers from Galante as to why he's closing their churches. He wants the faithful to believe that it's being done in the interest…

To all COP members - In today's Courier Post (7/18/08) the editorial page has an announcement. Next week, depending on the amount of feedback received by them, the South Jersey Speaks Out page will focus on Bishop Galante owning a shore house and selling same to Italian businessman facing federal fraud charges. Two questions were posed. Do you think the bishop owes explanation to parishioners? Do you think this is a matter that shouldn't concern local Catholics? I wanted to let everyone know abo…

COUNCIL OF PARISHES DEMANDS HALT TO CHURCH CLOSURE PROGRAM
For Immediate Release - July 15, 2008
From The Council of Parishes of Southern New Jersey
In response to today’s New York Post article, “A Deal with the Devil”
(http://www.nypost.com/seven/07152008/news/regionalnews/a_deal_with_the_devil_119940.htm), which exposes Bishop Galante’s personally beneficial financial dealings with the recently indicted Raffaello Follieri, the Council of Parishes demands an immediate halt to the Bishop's ch…

It is an outrage to consider that our bishop has financial motives in the church consolidation scam. Things are certainly becoming clear now, and this explains why none of the rationales posed by Bishop Galante, spokesman Andrew Walton, or any of the other cronies in Camden make a bit of sense. When you make "a deal with the devil" there's usually a financial motive.

From the Retrospect, serving Collinswood/Haddonfield area:
Parishoners at St. Vincent Pallotti moved their big pieces in the chess game of “what will happen to the church” this week, planting protest crosses along Hopkins Road.
At noon on June 29, following the Sunday mass, parishioners planted hundreds of homemade crosses on the lawn of the parish.
Family members left the church after mass and proceeded to plant their crosses on the lawn – a lawn which just a year ago was the site of constru…

Thank you to all who came out to our meeting last night at St. Mary's in Malaga. Fr. Romanowski invited us for Mass followed by refreshments and discussion. We had a very good turnout and continued planning for upcoming events.
Just so everyone is aware, we now have parishioners from 27 parishes throughout the Diocese of Camden involved with the Council of Parishes. As we continue our outreach, we ask everyone's help to spread the word. Unfortunately, many people falsely believe that there is n…
