Council of Parishes NJ

Council of Parishes of Southern New Jersey

I cannot tell you the pain and suffering that comes from having your last Mass and carry out the Slovenian flag and watch the church being locked. For that reason I urge you to fight with all that is available to you. Do not allow yourself to suffer what we are. To be baptized, then confirmed, educated in the school, be an altar boy, and have a 1915 photo of your father standing up on the scaffolding with the church 35% completed, to have your mother, father, brother and sister buried from that church and know that you will be deprived of that sacred privilege is a heavy burden. To lose your church is like losing a third parent, but the 3rd parent is not buried but stands there as a body without a soul, the soul is now in the hearts of those suppressed parishioners who see that building stand and allow the pain to continue with each sight. Someone must pay the price but why is it the loving and giving parishioners. The bishop will sell that sanctified building for pieces of silver. I write this to give you a sense of the alternative. Do not allow yourselves to go there. We pray for you and willingly give you what you might need to prevent this heinous act.

Thank you Stephen. Where is/was your parish? I/we would love to hear from you if you would like to email us privately at info@savestmarys.net. We also welcome guest articles. God bless you, and we thank you for your prayers! As Fr. Romanowski has said in this last week's bulletin, "We are now in the catacombs."

The Council of Parishes of Southern NJ formed in May 08 in opposition to the elimination of half the churches in the Diocese of Camden.
