Council of Parishes of Southern New Jersey

Not a bad layout for five sisters. It is only four times the size of the house that I live in raising my three daughters on my own. That gives each nun almost as much space as I have total for the four of us! Just more of an example of a Bishop out of control. And he should not talk about Priests retiring without replacements. What about the Priests that he chases out because they "Do not fit in with the Priesthood of this diocese."??? Father Michael Spagnolo from St Teresa of Avila Church in Bridgeton - forced to make a decision to either leave the diocese of take a one year retreat. Father Michael was a voice of the Angels, an inspiration to young and old to return to the Church. He was a true inspiration that did so much to restore the faith for myself and my three daughters. Now we are fast becoming lost sheep again, not in our faith, but in our affiliation with the diocese. Because Father Michael doesn't fit into the Bishop's philosophies of how a Priest should teach the Word, he is unworthy of the people. That is exactly what father Michael did, he didn't just get up and hold the Mass, he was teaching the true Word of God, he was really a gift to the people of this city. Instead of forcing Father Michael away, the Bishop should have sent other Priests down here to see how they should be preaching! I will not let one corrupt Bishop destroy my faith, but I will hit him where it hurts him the most ~ in his pocketbook. And I will encourage everyone I know to cut back on the money that they give to the church until he is gone. No more House of Charity, no more benefits for the Bishop's causes, all the money goes to his personal desires. This house will end up being his retirement castle since he sold his $800,000 seashore retreat. He is personally making people reconsider their religious affiliation, as I too considered reaching out to another church. Although it would be a tough transition to another religion, that option is not off the table.
